Low back pain can be classified into 3 categories, (acute, recurrent, and chronic).

Acute low back pain is a rapid onset of pain and limitations after an activity or situation.

Recurrent low back pain is episodes of pain that appear from similar movements or patterns and can be spaced by years, months, or days.

Chronic low back pain is pain with or without motion limitations that persists for 3-6 months. Low back pain can also cause pain in the buttocks or legs due pressure on a nerve. |
